“Wicked Town” Vice Lords Set In Chicago Won’t Have No. 1 Shot Caller On Streets Anymore, Lil’ Donnie Lee Found Guilty In RICO Case

November 27, 2022 — Windy City gang leader Donald (Lil’ Donnie) Lee, the boss of the Chicago Vice Lord’s Wicked Town crew, was convicted in federal court last week for racketeering, drug distribution and six counts of first-degree homicide.

The 41-year old “Lil’ Donnie” Lee will spend the rest of his life in prison. His guilty verdict capped a two-month trial in front of U.S. District Judge Thomas Durkin. Vice Lords enforcer Torance (Blackie) Benson was also convicted at the trial.

Lee, Benson and 13 other Vice Lords were indicted last year on a total of 19 murders, some dating all the way back to the early 2000s. Eleven co-defendants took plea deals before they saw the jury.

The Vice Lords have long ruled street-gang activity on the Windy City’s Westside. The gang was founded in the late 1950s in the city’s North Lawndale neighborhood.
