‘Large police presence’: Stabbing in Oakville neighbourhood leaves 1 severely wounded:Heavy police response

Halton Regional Police are investigating a stabbing at an Oakville home that has left a man seriously wounded.

The incident occurred just before 10:40 p.m. Saturday (May 11) on Terrace Way in Oakville, in the area of Fourth Line and Burnhamthorpe Road West.

He was transported to Hamilton General hospital in serious condition, but he is expected to survive, police said.

One man was placed into custody. Police say it appears to be a domestic situation.

The investigation into this incident “is in its infancy,” police said in a news release, adding further details will be released once known.

The incident prompted many neighbours in the area to take to social media to express their bewilderment at what was transpiring on their street.

“Large police presence here,” said Anne Razdani. “Something serious is going on and it’s a little unsettling to be honest.”
