Aaron Hernandez’s Baby Mama’s Mobster Boyfriend In Hot Water With State Authorities In Rhode Island For Alleged Drug Dealing

August 12, 2022 — Shayanna Jenkins’ taste in men tends to be the bad-boy athlete type.

The former fiancée and baby mama of Aaron Hernandez shares a child with Providence boxer and mafia associate Dino (The Big Bully) Guilmette. The self-proclaimed “Big Bully” was busted for narcotics trafficking by state police in Rhode Island late last month. Court records connect Guilmette to Matthew (Good Looking Matty) Guglielmetti, the reputed “Godfather of the Providence” and a longtime caporegime in New England’s Patriarca crime family.

Guilmette has a daughter and is reportedly in a relationship with Jenkins, the woman who was engaged to be married to Hernandez when he threw away a mega-millions NFL contract by killing her sister’s boyfriend. Odin Lloyd, a semi-pro football player in a relationship with Jenkins’ sister, Shaneah, was shot to death near Hernandez’s Attleborough, Massachusetts on the night of June 17, 2013. Hernandez, 27, committed suicide in prison in the years following his 2015 conviction in the Lloyd murder case.

“Shayanna is attracted to guys she thinks she can fix but at the same time can keep her living a certain way type of lifestyle,” said one source familiar with the couple since childhood.

Jenkins and Hernandez met each other in elementary school growing up in Bristol, Connecticut. They began dating during their senior year in high school right before Hernandez departed for an All-American career at the University of Florida. She moved in with him in his second season with the New England Patriots in 2011. Their daughter Avielle was born in 2012.

During the 2013 offseason, Hernandez inked a 47-million dollar contract with the Patriots and was then arrested shortly thereafter for killing Lloyd due to his belief that Lloyd knew too much about his illicit behavior off the football field, specifically alleged involvement in past murders. Upon his murder indictment, the Patriots cut him and voided the contract.Per sources close to the couple, Jenkins, 32, and Guilmette met via an introduction by mutual friends after Hernandez went to prison. They had their daughter Giselle in May 2018.

Jenkins moved from Massachusetts to Rhode Island to live with Guilmette.

“Dino is into a lot of different things, he has friends in very powerful places on both sides of the law,” a law enforcement source said. “But got a little lazy here with his business. He thought he had all his bases covered and it doesn’t look like he did.”

Two sources claim Jenkins accompanied Guilmette on trips to the Cayman Islands, where Guilmette met his drug suppliers. The 43-yeat old Guilmette owns a bar in the Providence area and is known for attempting to veil his trips to the Caymans as extended family or romantic getaways, per one member of law enforcement Rhode Island. Over the last 20 years, Guilmette has made a name for himself entering and winning amateur boxing matches and tough-man competitions.

The case against Guilmette was filed in July and includes seven counts of selling anti-anxiety pills (Lorazepan and Xanax) and capped a two-year investigation. Sources close to the investigation say additional charges related to cocaine distribution are expected to be added to the case before it reaches trial. Guilmette has pleaded not guilty.

State police surveillance reports show Guilmette spending large amounts of time with Good Looking Matty Guglielmetti. Both Guilmette and Guglielmetti live in Cranston, Rhode Island, a suburb of Providence. Guglielmetti, 74, did almost a decade in federal prison for protecting cocaine shipments traveling through Rhode Island in the early 2000s.

Prosecutors have possession of Guilmette’s phone and text records showing communication with well-known East Coast drug world. Informants told investigators that Guilmette also runs a cocaine business and reports directly to Good Looking Matty Guglielmetti for all of his alleged criminal activities. State police made a number of control purchases of cocaine from Guilmette and his crew in September and October 2021.
