April 2, 2022 — Already in the can for narcotics trafficking, Philadelphia mob enforcer Victor (Big Vic) DeLuca was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for drugs and racketeering. The sentences run concurrently. DeLuca, 57, has been locked up since December 2020 and admitted to being an extortionist, loanshark, collector and drug dealer for Philadelphia’s Bruno-Scarfo crime family. He was indicted in the drug and racketeering case in 2021 and copped his plea in November.
The only remaining co-defendants in the case to not plead guilty are Philly mob underboss Steven (Handsome Stevie) Mazzone and his baby brother and Philly mob soldier Salvatore (Sonny) Mazzone. The Mazzone brothers are slated for trial this July. FoxPhilly29’s Dave Schratwieser broke the news of DeLuca’s sentencing on his Mob Talk Sitdown website.
DeLuca’s dad was a member of the Riccobene crew faction of the Philly mob back in the 1970s and 1980s. His co-defendants, Domenic (Baby Dom) Grande and Johnny Payne both agreed to plea deals in recent weeks. Grande, a 42-year old capo, will most likely be sentenced to seven years at his sentencing hearing next month. The 35-year old Payne is expected to receive a 10-year bid.
