Celeb lawyer Murray Richman lists NYC duplex for $1.5M

For almost half a century, “Don’t Worry Murray” Richman has had a colorful legal career as a defense attorney, representing clients ranging from the late music mogul DMX to assorted Genovese and Lucchese crime family mobsters — and even disgraced ex-Governor Eliot Spitzer’s escort procurer.

At one point, Robert De Niro sold a legal series drama to CBS, written by David O. Russell, based on a fictionalized version of Richman and his daughter Stacey Richman, who is a legal star in her own right, with clients at their Bronx law firm including Lil Wayne, Ja Rule and Scout Willis, according to Deadline.

Richman is also known for his quips like, “I love a murder trial — one less witness to worry about,” and “I’ll be brief … I’m already short.” (He’s 5-foot-6.)

Now Richman has listed his Upper East Side duplex for $1.55 million.

The two-bedroom, 2½-bathroom apartment, at 520 E. 72 St., comes with a $4,777 monthly maintenance fee.

At 1,450 square feet, the 17th- and 18th-floor duplex boasts views of the East River and comes with a sunny, 450-square-foot terrace.

Building amenities include a doorman, garage, laundry, a bike room, library and Zen garden.

Louise Devlin of Brown Harris Stevens has the listing.
