El Chapo will never see his beauty-queen wife again

Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman is destined to live out his days at the country’s only supermax prison in Colorado — and he’ll never get to see his beauty queen wife ever again, The Post has learned.

“That’s where he’s going. I know for a fact that’s where he’s going,” a source with knowledge of Guzman’s case said Wednesday just after he was sentenced to life behind bars plus 30 years as the longtime head of the sprawling Sinaloa drug cartel.

The federal lockup in Florence is known as the “Alcatraz of the Rockies,” where inmates get a television but only a four-inch window to the outside world.

While visitation is allowed, Guzman will still be barred from seeing his wife Emma Coronel Aispuro in the flesh thanks to stringent security restrictions that have been in place during his jail stint in New York.

“They’re going to keep them separated forever,” Guzman’s lawyer Jeffrey Lichtman said of the couple. “He’ll never get to see her again.”

The 62-year-old kingpin will likely also never hug his 8-year-old twin daughters, Emaly and Maria Joaquina, again.

“No contact visits are allowed, even with his daughters,” Lichtman said, “if he’s allowed to see them at all. It’s kind of gruesome.”

Current supermax inmates include convicted “Unabomber” Ted Kaczynski, Oklahoma City bomber Terry Nichols, the British “shoe bomber” Richard Reid and the Boston marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

Inmates’ interaction with other people is limited and all meals are eaten in their cells.

But it may be some time until Guzman is headed out west. On Wednesday, his lawyers asked Brooklyn federal court Judge Brian Cogan to recommend that he not be transferred from the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan for 60 days so they can continue working on his appeal.

The judge agreed to make that recommendation.
