Q: What coveted item is currently on your must-have list?

A: A Zuhair Murad gown. I think that will be on my coveted list until I die.

Q: Are there any celebrities whose style you admire?

A: Kate Hudson and Cameron Diaz. They both dress classic yet sexy and fresh. I am also obsessed with California and I feel they embody that easy, relaxed, yet stylish Cali-fashion.

Q: What is your favourite magazine?

A: Vogue.

Q: Who is your hairstylist?

A: Kristin Page — Hedkandi (Bankers Hall).

Q: Do you have a signature scent?

A: I never wear perfume. It’s kind of a faux pas in the restaurant biz.

Q: What are your favourite shops in Calgary?

A: Leo Boutique — hands down! Jon and Cornelia, the owners, curate a great shop with unique designers you won’t see everywhere else and they only bring a few sizes of each style so you never run into anyone wearing the same thing. I also love Rubaiyat for jewelry and gifts and Gravitypope for shoes. These are all my neighbours too, so it can be dangerous.

Q: What are your favourite restaurants?

A: Model Milk, Cassis, The Coup and River Café.

Q: Where’s your favourite brunch spot?

A: Ox and Angela. I know that sounds biased but I don’t cook it so I feel like I can say that. A Café Rosso coffee, a Spanish take on eggs Benedict and cheap sangria — need I say more?

Q: If you are out on the town, is there a cocktail or wine bar you prefer to go to?

A: It’s brand new, but my favourite watering hole right now is Pigeonhole for their unique wine list.

Q: What is your favourite cocktail?

A: Boulevardier.

Q: Can you share a hidden lifestyle treasure in the city with us?

A: There’s a little island in the Bow River just outside of Mission where I take my dog (Penny) so she can play in the water and I can get a moment of solitude and nature.
